Audrey Jane Fittipaldi

Audrey Jane Fittipaldi, age 100 of Moorefield, WV, formerly of 89th Street in Manhattan, New York City, passed away Saturday evening, October 17, 2015 at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV. Born April 18, 1915 in Hardy Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late David Edward Smith and Dorothy Elizabeth Eveline (Woerner) Smith. A daughter, Dorothy Eloise Fittipaldi, two husbands, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. A refined lady who wrote poetry, she enjoyed taking family around New York City to partake in Broadway shows. She enjoyed art and culture and lived life to the fullest every day. She was a dedicated nurse who cared for cancer patients well in to her senior years. Surviving are two special children, Denise Marie Fittipaldi and companion Gary Ketterman of Petersburg, WV & Joseph Edward Fittipaldi of Old Fields, WV; two sisters, Trixie Houdershell of Berryville, VA and Dorothy Veach of San Bernardino, CA; three grandchildren, Heather Barger, Janine Fittipaldi and Felicia Ketterman; a great-granddaughter, Isabella Jane Barger and much loved nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Smith Family Cemetery, Kessel, WV with Father Giles LeVasseur officiating. Interment will follow.
