Gene Francis Mangold

Gene Francis Mangold, age 59 of Twin Maple Road, Moorefield, WV ventured on his eternal ride Friday afternoon, April 1, 2016. He was born on February 11, 1957, a son of the late Robert David Mangold and Maxine (Bosley) Mangold Hershberger and step-son of the late Bob Hershberger. He was also preceded in death by a baby sister, Geraldine Patty Frenzel. Gene was a wise and honest man who taught the ways of the world, to many young people who entered his sanctum and he considered each and every one on them, his. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, loved tinkering with motorcycles and taking rides in his Jeep Thelma Lou. Surviving are his loving wife, Lucinda Cindy (Sites) Mangold; sons, Steven & Jenn Firman of Pittsburgh, PA, William B. & (Britny) Miller of Moorefield, WV, Mackenzie T. Wilson of Moorefield, WV; grandbabies, Zoey & Kaydin Firman, Damien & Danica Miller; siblings, Bill Mangold, Robert Bim Mangold, Elizabeth Peachy Barclay and Robbie Hershberger and his faithful furry companion & friend, Axel. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St. The family will receive friends from 3 7 PM prior to services. Memorial donations in Genes honor may be made to the family c/o P.O. Box 914, Moorefield, WV 26836 to be used in the future to continue Genes mission.
