Lena Amy Wilkins

Lena Amy Wilkins, age 76, of Petersburg, WV, passed away Sunday evening, October 19, 2014 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born July 12, 1938 at Jordan Run, Grant Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Emmett David Hesse & Edna Mae (Berg) Hesse and step-daughter of Effie Hesse. Her husband, Allen D. Wilkins preceded her in death in May 1997. A sister, Artie Mae Cunningham also preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Larry G. (Sandra) Wolfe of Fisher, WV, and James A. (Danielle) Wilkins of Shermansdale, PA; a daughter, Amy Jo (Barry) Suter of Olney, MD; two brothers, Richard Hesse of Fisher, WV, and Lee Allen Hesse of Manassas, VA; two sisters, Darlene H. Turner of Petersburg, WV and Bonnie Kisamore of Maysville, WV; four grandchildren, Jason J. Wolfe, Amanda J. (Robert) Hearn, Robert K. Suter, and Keenan A. Wilkins; and three great-granddaughters, Violet O. Hearn, Piper L. Wolfe, and Emery J. Hearn. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Gary Reed officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
