Orpha Susan "Sue" Moyers

Orpha Susan Sue Moyers, age 89, A Gold Star Mother of Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday morning, March 17, 2018 at the E.A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV. Born September 28, 1928 in Kessel, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Marion Bobo and Grace Lee (Kuykendall) Bobo. Her husband of 59 years, Richard Raymond Moyers preceded her in death in April 2006. An infant son, a son, PFC Richard Lee Moyers, a grandson, Jordan Miller, a brother, James Omer Bobo and two sisters, Ruth Mongold and Elva Lee Weese also preceded her in death. She had retired from Hester Industries having previously worked at Raygold Cabinets and was a member of the Bethel Church of the Brethren, Landis, WV. Sue had an impeccable work ethic, and her family was so very important to her. When her children were growing up, they would bring others to their home and she would welcome them as her own. She was a fantastic cook and she loved to bake. They would enjoy camping and sometimes with her family, these outings would have 60+ folks in attendance. Surviving are three sons, Donnie Moyers and wife Pat of Petersburg, WV, Larry Moyers and wife Susie & David Moyers and wife Lisa of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Linda Bowman and husband John of Fisher, WV and Diane Miller and husband Mike of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Junior Bobo of Fisher, WV; a sister, Mamie Ratcliff of Petersburg, WV; fourteen grandchildren; and thirty-two great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastors Greg Rotruck & Don Knotts officiating.
