Sylvia Jean Crites

Sylvia Jean Malcolm Crites, age 77 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday morning, August 16, 2014 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born February 6, 1937 in the Ft. Run area of Moorefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Arthur W. Malcolm & Bertie Catherine (Shockey) Malcolm. She had retired in 2002 from the American Woodmark Corp., was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #64, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post #9606, and received Top Honors for Women of The Moose Chapter #1182. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Buck Delawder in December 1967. Three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving are four sons, Steven L. & Jennifer Myers of Moorefield, WV, R. Greg & Nellie Delawder of Moorefield, WV, Jeffery S. & Kathy Delawder of Radcliffe, KY and James A. & Donna Delawder of Petersburg, WV; a daughter, Diana J. & Charlie Hardy of Old Fields, WV; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
