Bess Rexroad

Mattie Bess Rexroad, age 83 of Old Pine Church Road, Old Fields, WV passed away Monday morning, December 21, 2020 at Hampshire Center in Romney, WV. Born on October 15, 1937 in Gassaway, WV, she was a daughter of the late   Charley Jarvis and Pauline Tabitha Bender Jarvis. Her husband, Vernon Dae Rexroad preceded her in death in October 2008. A brother, Jackie V. Jarvis also preceded her in death. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Bess was a talented painter, painting landscapes, houses, churches, barns and anything she felt needing reflection of her talents. Her grandchildren were her blessings and she cherished the time she was able to watch and care for them.

Surviving is a daughter, Mary Ann (Harold) Harvey of Old Fields, WV; a son, Bobby D. (Bonnie) Rexroad of Burlington, WV; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Committal Services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the Fairview Cemetery, Chapel, WV.
