Carol Ann Smith

Carol Ann Smith, age 77 of Tannery Hollow Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday morning, December 12, 2020 at her daughter’s residence in Moorefield. Born on April 22, 1943 in Mozer, WV, she was a daughter of the late Seymoure Henry Kesner and Pearly Mae Riggleman Kesner. A daughter, Carolyn Kesner, a great-great-grandson, four brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.

Ann was a member of the Moorefield Church of God. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking for family and friends, and spent many of an hour on the porch just watching everything go by. Her favorite thing was babysitting her neighbor’s fur baby, Gracie, whom she loved and adored.

Surviving is her husband of 40 years, Robert A. Smith; two sons, Jonathan A. (April) Judy of Fisher, WV and Eric Judy of Upper Tract, WV; two daughters, Elizabeth “Crickett” (Andy Smith) Freeman of Moorefield, WV and Angela “Judy” Bowler of Basye, VA; two step-daughters, Kimberly Reel of Fisher, WV and Kathy Gravitt of Gainesville, GA; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, private family services will be held with interment at the Lahmansville, Cemetery with Pastor Rob Borror as officiant.
