Cheryl Denise Horton

Cheryl Denise Horton, age 63 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, February 26, 2024, at her residence with her family at her side. Born on December 17, 1960, in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of the late Sydney Gilmore Marsh and Nancy Jean Jenkins Marsh.

Cheryl embraced every ray of life with warmth and radiance. Her love for the sun was evident in her zest for outdoor activities, whether basking on sandy shores or leisurely poolside afternoons. In quieter moments, Cheryl found solace in books and music, often accompanied by her skills as a seamstress.

Cheryl's legacy of love and light continues through her cherished family: her husband of 26 years, William J. Horton, Jr., her son, Justin S. Martin, and her daughters April Monico and Bethanny Thomas-Marsh. Alongside them, she leaves a radiant imprint on four beloved grandchildren.

As per her wishes, Cheryl has been cremated, and her life will be honored in a small service dedicated to close friends and family.
