David Lee Neal

March 29, 1937 — August 10, 2015

David Lee Neal, Sr. of Branch Mountain, Moorefield, WV passed away Monday evening, August 10, 2015 at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV. Born March 29, 1937 in Huntington, WV, he was the son of the late LeRoy Neal and Freda A. Carpenter Neal. A sister, Betty L. Neal Tomblin, a brother, William C. Neal and an infant brother also preceded him in death. A retired Maintenance Engineer for Walter Reed Medical Center, he was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of the Denny-Moyers-Pratt, Post # 9606 V.F.W and a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion. Surviving is his wife, Shirley A. (Varney) Neal; two daughters, Theresa A. Neal Milner of Stafford, VA and Carla S. Neal Hill of Moorefield, WV; a son, David Lee Neal, Jr. of Gibbstown, NJ; a brother, Buddy Joe Neal of Vinton, OH and six grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Russell Webster officiating. Interment will follow at the Asbury Cemetery, Bean Settlement, Baker, WV. The family will receive friends from 6 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
