Delmas Wilkins

Delmas Cleland Wilkins, age 86, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away Friday evening August 9, 2024, at the Inova Fairfax Hospital surrounded by his family, pastors and close friends. He was born on August 6, 1938, in Old Fields, WV, a son of the late Cleland Eston Wilkins and Pearl Matthew Miller Wilkins. He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

 Delmas was a true outdoorsman who loved coming home to Hardy County, WV, to hunt and fish whenever possible. His love of cars led to his lifetime career as an auto mechanic in the greater Washington DC area. 

 Delmas is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Linda J. Alt Wilkins and son Scott (wife Amanda) Wilkins.

 Delmas attended Parkway Free Will Baptist Church. 

 Funeral Services to celebrate Delmas’s life will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Duffey Memorial Church, 100 N Elm Street, Moorefield, WV with Pastors Jamie Lane & Kurt Buchanan officiants. Interment to follow in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until time of services.
