Dennie Ray Delawder

Dennie Ray Delawder, age 54 of Eastman Road, Moorefield, WV passed away Wednesday morning, July 24, 2019 at his residence. Born on April 7, 1965 in Petersburg, WV, he was a son of Arvella Louise (Malcolm) Delawder Hutton & Rodney Hutton of Moorefield, WV and the late Bennie Albert Delawder. A brother, Terry, paternal grand-parents, Albert & Elizabeth (Koontz) Delawder and maternal-grandparents, Ray & Violet (Fultz) Malcolm, also preceded him in death.

Dennie was an outdoors person, enjoying fishing and hunting. He was an avid watcher of old westerns on television and was a great whistler. He was considered a jokester by everyone; he tried to make everyone laugh. Having never met a stranger, he was referred to as a “happy go lucky fellar” by everyone.

Surviving is a daughter, Whitney & Brandon Ritchie of Purgitsville, WV; a son, Bobby Delawder of Brownstown, MI; five grandchildren, Zelda Delawder, Emma Ritchie, Zayne Ritchie, Paxton Ritchie and Caiden Ritchie; three sisters, Anna & Donald Wilson, Sharon George and Rhonda Gasparo all of Moorefield, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 5:30 PM, Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, Route 55 East of Moorefield.
