Diana Lynn Koontz

Diana Lynn Koontz, age 61 of Red Fern Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, June 15, 2020, at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born on May 8, 1959, in Moorefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late Hattie Belle Mowery. Her husband, Carter Koontz preceded her in death in June 1981. Three brothers also preceded her in death, making her the last member of her immediate family.

Diana had previously worked at Pilgrims Pride, was a great gardener and enjoyed canning in her earlier years, loved to cook and had a large collection of cookbooks that she would take recipes from and make her own.

Surviving are two sons, Rick (Tammy) Mowery of Moorefield, WV, and Wayne “Mouse” (fiancé Kimberly) Koontz of Moorefield, WV; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, June 19, 2020, at the Scott Cemetery, Durgon Route, Moorefield. Interment will follow.
