Dwayne Michael Whiteman

Dwayne Michael “Mickey” Whiteman, age 57 of Arlington Manor Drive, Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday evening, July 1, 2020, at his residence. Born on November 26, 1962, in Warrenton, VA, he was a son of the late Marvin Randolph Whiteman and Ella Mae Myers Whiteman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence, Wallace, and Marvin Edward.

“Mickey” was everyone’s favorite junk man, he truly enjoyed finding and hauling junk. He was not scared of labor despite his back injury and was always mowing a yard, but his favorite pastime was playing with the kids and grandchildren.

Surviving is his companion of 34 years, Nancy Marshall; a son, Gary Wilson, Jr. of Winchester, VA;  daughters, Susan Blacka of Maysville, WV, Stacey Howell & Deanna Marshall of Moorefield, WV; sisters, Barbara Howell, Sharon Whiteman, and Patricia Shilling all of Moorefield, WV; eleven grandchildren; a great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 8, 2020, with Pastor Bruce Jackson officiant at the Olivet Cemetery, Moorefield. Interment will follow.
