Edna Eugenia Halterman, lovingly known as Jean, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 97, at the E.A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Care Center in Baker, WV. Jean was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In her early years, Jean was an avid sports enthusiast, excelling in basketball. She found joy in cheering on the WVU Mountaineers football team and following Major League Baseball. Jean had a passion for playing Bridge with her friends and always brought her competitive spirit to the table. She was also renowned for her culinary skills, particularly for her mouthwatering buckwheat cakes that were savored by her loved ones.

But above all, Jean's greatest joy in life came from watching her children and grandchildren grow and thrive. Her love and devotion to her family knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
