Ernest Unterzuber

Ernest Unterzuber, age 86 of Petersburg, WV formerly of Front Royal, VA, Elkins, WV and Moundsville, WV, passed away Wednesday morning, June 16, 2010 at the residence of his daughter. Born November 26, 1923 in Jacobsburg, OH, he was the son of the late Henry G. & Goldie B. (Travis) Unterzuber. He was a US Army veteran of WWII, and a member of the Marshall Union Lodge #8, A.F. & A.M., Moundsville, WV. He was a former Superintendent of the Randolph County, WV Department of Highways for numerous years. A brother, Ralph Unterzuber and a brother-in-law, George Rex preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy M. (Sinn) Unterzuber; a daughter, Priscilla Wratchford (husband Mike) of Petersburg, WV; two brothers, Gene Unterzuber (wife Polly) of Washington, NC and Zane Unterzuber (wife Sandra) of Odessa, NY; a sister, Carol Rex of Wheeling, WV; two grandchildren, Ryan Wratchford & Courtney Wratchford of Petersburg, WV and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Unterzuber of Richmond, VA. Funeral Services will be conducted 4:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor James Ash officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of services at 4:00 PM.
