Ersley "Lucy" Smithpeters

Ersley ?Lucy? Graham Moyers Smithpeters, age 98 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday morning, August 16, 2012 at the E.A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV. Born August 29, 1913 in Harman, WV she was the daughter of the late Wilbur & Mary Graham. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Austin Moyers in 1953 and her second husband, William Smithpeters in May 1974. An infant son, Austin preceded her in death in 1947 and a daughter Mary Helmick preceded her in death in 2007. She worked in Arlington, VA in the home of James & Maude Foley for many years before returning home to retire. Surviving is a son-in-law, David Helmick of Moorefield, WV; two grandchildren, Dennis Helmick of Moorefield, WV and Peggy Williams of Fisher, W; five great grandchildren, Jayme Helmick, Austin Helmick, Kellan Williams, Cody Helmick and Luke Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Chris Whetzel officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM (Noon) until time of services at 1:00 PM.
