Flor Maria Selfe, age 88 of Moorefield, WW formerly of Old Fields, WV, passed away Sunday evening, June 28, 2026, at Greenfield Senior Living Center in Woodstock, VA. Born October 27, 1937, in Chile, she was the daughter of the late Juan Bautista Lafargue and Rosa Amelia Campos Zuniga. Flor was preceded in death by her husband Harold Ethan Tucker in November 2017.

Flor grew up on a large ranch in Traiquén, Malleco, Chile. and was the second of six children and came to America to live in 1970.

Flor was a devoted Certified Nursing Assistant who found great joy in caring for the elderly. Her compassion, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many throughout her career. Outside of work, Flor loved spending time outdoors, especially tending to her garden, where she found peace and happiness. Her faithful dog was always by her side, providing constant companionship with her on many outdoor adventures. Flor will be remembered for her caring heart, her love of nature, and the deep affection she shared with those around her.

Flor’s wish was to be cremated and her cremains scattered in the places she loved and no formal ceremony is planned.
