Forrest Thomas Jungle Wolfe, age 82 of Wolfe Mountain, Bass, WV, passed away Thursday morning, May 5, 2016 at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV. Born January 8, 1934 in Hardy Co., WV, he was the son of the late Ira Roosevelt Wolfe and Lillian Virginia Thomas Wolfe. Jungle was a retired bus driver for Hardy County Schools retiring after 26 years of shuffling many, many children. He was a typesetter for the Moorefield Examiner for 26 years; a US Navy Veteran, a past member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion, and a member of the Moorefield Lodge # 29 A.F. & A.M. Surviving is a son, John Wolfe of Moorefield, WV; a daughter, Cheri Wolfe of Beattysville, KY; a sister, Eva Wolfe of Moorefield, WV; a step-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday May 28, 2016 at the Bass United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick Bergdoll officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Ira Wolfe Cemetery, Wolfe Mountain, Bass, WV with Masonic Rites Accorded by the Moorefield Lodge #29 A.F. & A.M. A reception will follow at the Bass United Methodist Church.
