Frances Leo Smith

Frances Leo Smith, age 78 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday evenong, July 20, 2004,at his residence. Born February 19, 1926 in Johnstown, PA, he was a son of the late Harry L. & Margaret (McDonald) Smith. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and one grandson. Surviving is his wife, Eleanor Smith, three sons; Frances Smith of Slanesville,WV, Bob Smith of Fisher ,WV and John Smith of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Vivian Burgess of Mechanicsburg, PA and Nancy Grizzle of Dawsonville, GA, two bothers; Joe Smith of Stephens City, VA and Johnny Smith of Munich, Germany; seven grand Children and two great-grand children. Mr. Smith was a US Army Veteran of World War II, a life member of VFW Post# 9606, a member of the Moose Lodge #358 where he held a Degree of Pilgrim and was Catholic by faith. A memorial service was held Saturday July 24, 2004 at the Fraley Funeral Home with Father Paul Yuenger and Pastor Katherine Jackson officiating. At Mr. Smith?s request he has been cremated.
