Frederick Eckertt, Jr.

Frederick Eckertt, Jr. age 83 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday morning, March 24, 2012 at the V. A. Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. Born November 11, 1928 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada he was the son of the late Frederick & Marion Blanche (Dennison)Eckertt, Sr. Fred was a U. S. Army retiree having served 21 years on active duty including two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion and the Denney-Moyers-Pratt Post #9606 V.F.W. Four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Surviving are two sisters, his twin Freda Tonet and Betty Book of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and a brother, John Frederick Eckertt of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and numerous friends. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:30 PM Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St, with Pastors Russell & Lucy Webster officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites Accorded by the U.S. Army at the Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 ? 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
