Gay Rebecca Lewis

Gay Rebecca Lewis, age 82 of Moorefield, WV, passed away late Friday evening at the E.A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Baker, WV. Born June 8, 1927 in Hardy Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Neff & Lula (Wolfe) See. Her husband, Melvin W. Lewis preceded her in death in November 1985. A great-grandson, three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. Surviving are five sons, Lawrence Lewis (wife Barbara) of Moorefield, WV, John Lewis (wife Lisa) of Moorefield, WV, Roger Lewis (wife Esther) of Petersburg, WV, Tim Lewis of Maysville, WV & Samuel Lewis of Petersburg, WV; two daughters, Betty Strawderman (husband David, Sr.) & Charlotte Mongold (husband Houston) of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Waldo See (wife Mary) of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Nora Strawderman (husband Russell) of Mathias, WV; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Don Knotts officiating. Interment will follow at the Baldwin Cemetery near Moorefield. The family will receive friends from 5 ? 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
