George William Arbogast, Sr.

George William Arbogast, Sr., age 80 of 8th Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday morning, October 7, 2004 at his residence. Born February 22, 1924 in Morgantown, WV, he was a son of the late William B. & Madge P. (Summers) Arbogast. His wife, Clarise (Smith) Arbogast preceded him in death in April 1992. Surviving are three sons, Robert B. Arbogast & George W. Arbogast, Jr. of New Freedom, PA and David A. Arbogast of Sparks, MD; a daughter, A. Joyce Purkey of Freeland, MD; four sisters, Pearl Gardner, Hazel Rodriguez, Betty Hobson, and Mary Ann Stewart all of Cleveland, OH; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were conducted Sunday, October 10, 2004 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield. After services, at his request, Mr. Arbogsat was cremated and his ashes were interred at the Bethel Cemetery, Old Fields, WV.
