Gerald Raymond Miller

Gerald Raymond Miller, age 67 of Petersburg, WV formerly of Moorefield and Keyser, WV, passed away Tuesday evening, September 8, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. He was born December 4, 1947 in Luke, MD, a son of the late Vernon Herbert Miller and Eugenia Fredericka (VanMeter) Miller. He was a 1965 graduate of Bruce High School, attended Potomac State College, was an avid baseball player and loved hunting. He retired from the Batesville Casket Companys Vicksburg, MS plant in 2010 and worked at American Woodmark Corporation at both the Hardy County and Moorefield plants. He was a US Air Force, a US Army National Guard and a US Navy veteran. He was a member of the Moorefield Lodge #29 A.F. & A.M. and the Scottish Rite. His wife of 39 years, Patricia S. (Rodeheaver) Miller preceded him in death in May 2010. Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Miller and fiancé Kenneth Kerns and Briana & Tommy Coleman all of Moorefield, WV; two brothers, Jimmy & Kim Miller of Biloxi, MS and Vernon & Mary Jane Miller of Maysville, WV; a sister, Bonnie & Manuel Doman of Keyser, WV; 7 grandchildren, Anthonee Llewellyn, Tyler Llewellyn, Kearsten Miller, Jerica Coleman, Baylee Coleman, Tristan Coleman & Kiersten Coleman and a great-granddaughter, his little bit, Copeland Grace Miller. Graveside Inurnment will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Dawson Cemetery, Rawlings, MD with Pastors Brian Hipp & Jeremy Doman officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the US Navy.
