Grace Southerly

Evelyn Grace Branson Southerly, age 80 of South Main Street, Moorefield, WV passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 15, 2003 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born June 28, 1921 in Hardy Co., WV she was a daughter of the late John A. & Regina May (Baldwin) Branson. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester ?Lec? Southerly, three sisters and one brother also preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, Donald Ray Southerly of Belington, WV and Douglas J. Southerly of Moorefield; one daughter, Phyllis L. Newhouse of Moorefield; one brother, John D. Branson of Moorefield; six sisters, Mabel Alt of Moorefield, Ruby Constable of Winston-Salem, NC, Edna Zook of Phoenix, AZ, Irene Smith of Akron, OH, Delores Heare of Old Fields, WV & Lila Stafford of Akron, OH; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were conducted Friday, April 18, 2003 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with the Rev. Ted Osgood officiating. Following Friday?s services, Mrs. Southerly was cremated.
