Irene Genevieve Dolly

Irene Genevieve Dolly, age 92 of Ostrich Lane, Maysville, WV passed away Saturday evening, March 23, 2019 at her residence. Born on January 31, 1927 at Junction, WV, she was a daughter of the late Phillip Rosser Whiteman and Carrie Elizabeth Shoemaker Whiteman. Her husband, Stanley Guy Dolly preceded her in death in December 2015. Three brothers also preceded her in death.

Genevieve enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her family was everything to her. She also had a desire to take care of others as well as family as everyone she knew was important to her.

Surviving are two sons, Larry Dolly of Maysville, WV and Terry Dolly of Felton, PA; a daughter, Carol Cox of Rhome, TX; two brothers, Orville Whiteman of Wardensville, WV and Loyd Whiteman of Baker, WV; two sisters, Norma Westfall of Upper Tract, WV and Juanita Wratchford of Aberdeen, MD; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor John Ellifritz officiating. Interment will follow at the Old Pine Church Cemetery, Purgitsville, WV. The family will receive friends from 4 – 7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
