Jack Raymond Taylor, Sr.

Jack Raymond Taylor, Sr., age 74 of Rohrbaugh Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Saturday evening, February 15, 2020, at his residence. Born on June 27, 1945 in Tallahassee, FL, he was a son of the late Leslie Henry Taylor and Ielien Henrietta Strausser Taylor. A beloved son, Robert E. Taylor and a precious granddaughter, Tasha Rohrbaugh also preceded him in death.

Jack was a US Army veteran of the 101^st Airborne Division in Vietnam; a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion, a member of the Denney-Moyers-Pratt Post #9606 V.F.W.; a Life Member of the Hardy County Historical Society; a member of the McNeill’s Rangers, Sons of Confederate Veteran’s, Camp #582; a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren and a Registered WV Master Barber.

Surviving is his wife of 36 years, Nancy Suella Evans Taylor; a son, Jack R. ”Jay” (Becky) Taylor, Jr. of Broadway, VA; a daughter, Anna Suella (Will) Rohrbaugh of Petersburg, WV; a brother, Leslie H. Taylor, Jr of Marietta, PA; two sisters, Bonita Kay Garber of Mount Joy, PA and Lisa Taylor of Lititz, PA and three grandchildren, Camden Taylor, Evan Rohrbaugh & Emma Ann Rohrbaugh.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, February 20, 2020, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 10 Washington Street with Pastors Russell Webster, Lucy Webster & Michael Snyder as celebrants. Military Honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the time of services at 5:00 PM.
