James Archie Jarrell

James Archie Jarrell, age 69 of Sugar Camp Road, Purgitsville, WV, passed away Sunday morning, January 16, 2011 at the Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Romney, WV. Born January 17, 1941 in Naoma, WV, he was the son of the late Archie R. & Laura M. (Howell) Jarrell. He was retired from General Motors Corporation in Baltimore; was a member of the Moorefield Lodge # 29 A.F. & A.M; and a member of the Potomac Highlands Shrine Club. A son, James Douglas Jarrell and a brother, Charles Jarrell preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Martha (Peters) Jarrell, a son Ronald Lee Jarrell (wife Angie) of Baltimore, MD; a daughter, Susan Adams (husband Steven) of Port Deposit, MD; three brothers, Bill Jarrell (wife Dorothy) of Bear, DE, Bud Jarrell (wife Brenda) of Arnett, WV and Robert Jarrell (wife Vickie) of Naoma, WV; two grandsons, Eric Adams & James Adams; two granddaughters, Megan Sexton & Elizabeth Durm; a great-grandson, Elijah Durm and a sister-in-law, Carol Jarrell of Dry Creek, WV. Funeral Services will be conducted 6:00 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastors Russell & Lucy Webster officiating. Masonic Rites will be accorded by the Moorefield Lodge #29 A.F. & A.M. Interment will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Jarrell Family Cemetery, Naoma, WV.
