Janet Irene Barnes

Janet Irene (Ruth) Miller Barnes, age 80 of Lee St., Moorefield, WV passed away Monday morning, September 16, 2013 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born July 23, 1933 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Wesley Ruth, Sr. & Emma Anne (Varina) Ruth. She was preceded in death by husbands, Charles H. Miller, Sr. & Louis P. Barnes. A brother, Calvin W. Ruth, Jr. also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Petersburg, WV and a graduate of Eastern High School Class of 1951. Surviving are two sons, Charles (Ann) Miller of Mobile, AL and Paul D. Miller of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Janet (Johnny) Keplinger of Moorefield, WV and Valerie (Richard) Rodney of Waynesboro, VA; three step-daughters, Bonnie Lee (Dave) Barnes of Pinellas Park, FL, Betty Lou Barnes of Pinellas Park, FL and Edna (Earl) Jackson of Westminster, MD; a sister, Helen (Leon) Richmond of Sun City, CA; a step-sister, Patricia Penney of Alamogordo, NM; two half-sisters, Gail R. (Gary) Olson and Bonnie R. (John) Sroka; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Bishop Jeff Kimble officiating. Interment will follow Friday at the Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD. The family will receive friends from 6 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home prior to services.
