Jason Redmon

Jason Leroy Redmon, age 46 of Brooklyn, NY, formerly of Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026 at the New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, NY. Born November 2, 1979, in Winchester, VA, he was the son of David (Stacy) Redmon of Moorefield, WV and Brenda Redmon of Queens, NY. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leroy Redmon, Sr.

Jason was a light that never stopped shining. He was a member of Moorefield High School Class of 1997.

Surviving in addition to his parents is the love of his life, Shaté Redmon of Brooklyn, NY ; three daughters, Ghamani Hogue, of Brooklyn, NY, Aabryna and Uuliyah Redmon of South Carolina; two sons, Jaliel Wirts and Michael Byrd of Brooklyn, NY; a sister, Crystal Redmon of Ocala, FL; 1 step-brother, Trenton Henry of Moorefield, WV; two nephews, Ezkel & Lennox; one niece, Amora; maternal grandparents, Annabelle Sowell of Queens, NY and Cornell Sowell of Georgia; paternal grandmother, Nellie Redmon of Moorefield, WV; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jason was Muslim by faith and services were conducted on June 23, 2026, in New York with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in New Jersey on June 24, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Brighton Park, 644 Fisher Road, Moorefield, WV at the large pavilion on the left. Please come and share your memories of Jason with his family and friends.
