Joseph Mason Coon

Joseph Mason Coon, age 45 of Purgitsville, WV, passed away Saturday evening, November 19, 2011 at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA. He was born January 25, 1966 at Prince George?s County General Hospital in Cheverly, MD, a son of Shirley (Merson) Coon of Purgitsville, WV and the late Richard Lee Coon, Jr. Joe worked for William T. Burnett & Sons in Jessup, MD for many years and attended and supported the Lighthouse Mission Chapel of Hanover, MD. Joe loved to hunt and fish and spent many hours walking in the woods. Though he is gone from the family?s sight, he remains in their hearts. Surviving in addition to his mother are three brothers, Richard L. Coon, III of Baker, WV, Paul E. Coon of Hagerstown, MD and Russell W. Coon of Purgitsville, WV; four nephews and a niece. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with the Rev. Glenn Bromwell officiating. Interment will follow at the Elijah High Cemetery, Junction, WV. The family will receive friends from 4 ? 6 PM Monday at the funeral home.
