Joseph Eugene Taylor

Joseph Eugene Taylor, age 81 of Yukon Dr., Moorefield, WV passed away Friday evening, December 10, 2010 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born May 6, 1929 in Cumberland, MD he was the son of the late Wesley E. & Margaret A. (Carpenti) Taylor. He was a 1947 graduate of Fort Hill High School and he later attended Potomac State College, West Virginia University and Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. An outdoor enthusiast, he was a member of the N.R.A and flew model remote controlled airplanes. A brother and two nieces preceded him in death. Surviving is his high school sweetheart and wife of 60 years, Virginia E. (Sisler) Taylor; a daughter, Stephanie A. Taylor of Moorefield, WV; two sons, Rev. Michael S. Taylor of Cleveland, OH and Wesley E. Taylor of Waterford, MI; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with the Rev. Michael S. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
