Joyce Flinn Wolfe, age 78 of Moorefield, WV, passed away, Wednesday afternoon, June 12, 2024 at her residence. Born on February 18, 1946 in Petersburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Olin Flinn, Jr. and Mary Aletha Arnold Flinn. Her husband, the love of her life, Douglas “Dougie” J. Wolfe preceded her in death in March 2009. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie and a nephew, Mark. She was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren and after Covid, she attended Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church.

Throughout her life, Joyce dedicated herself to various endeavors, including her work at the family business, Flinn's Furniture and Carpetland, and later as the owner of FishNet Plus. Her commitment to her community extended beyond her professional life, as she took joy in sending personalized cards filled with stickers and cutouts to spread cheer far and wide. Joyce's love for animals, particularly horses and cats, shone through in her daily rituals of feeding squirrels, birds, and neighboring animals.

 Joyce found immense pleasure in playing cards, displaying a talent that made her a formidable opponent in any game. A devoted member and Past Matron of the Moorefield Chapter #102, Order of the Eastern Star, Joyce was awarded a 50-year pin in November 2019. She cherished her friendships and often treasured moments shared with loved ones over meals and outings. Despite the challenges life presented, Joyce's priority always remained her family, a testament to her unwavering love and dedication.

Surviving are two daughters, Jill Wolfe of Moorefield, WV and Kim (Mark) Hott of Kirby, WV; two brothers, James "Jimmy" (Janet) Flinn, III of Old Fields, WV and Jackie (Linda) Flinn of Romney, WV; three grandchildren, Seth, Marisa &Hayden; five great-grandchildren, Ava, Averie, Creed, Kindle & Addy and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce's legacy lives on through the memories and impact she had on those fortunate enough to have known her.

 She was blessed to have a new family in her last year, her caregivers. Special love to AM Rose, PM Rose, Sharron & Christine for your care and compassion.

 Funeral services for Joyce Flinn Wolfe will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, located at 107 Washington Street. The ceremony, officiated by Pastors Rick Bergdoll and Mark Flynn, will commence at 10:00 AM. Prior to the service, friends and well-wishers are welcome to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

 This celebratory occasion will culminate with the interment at Olivet Cemetery, where Joyce will find eternal peace. As we gather to honor her life, let us remember Joyce's kindness, spirit, and unwavering love for those around her. Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
