Judi Kernaghan

Judith “Judi” Ann Kernaghan, age 77 of Moorefield, WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 21, 2025, at her residence with her husband at her side. Born on July 8, 1948, in Bridgeport, CT, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Seager Dodds and Ruth Bassett Dodds.

Judi was a bright star in the lives of many. She spent her days enjoying the outdoors, exploring nature, and embracing every moment with infectious joy. From hiking and camping adventures with her husband, John “Jack” Kernaghan, to quiet evenings spent fishing, Judi filled her life with the beauty of nature and the love of her surroundings.

Surviving is her husband of almost 40 years, John D. “Jack” Kernaghan; a son Kristopher Kernaghan of Mt. Airy, MD and a granddaughter; and a daughter, Jennifer Bittar of Shelton, CT.

Following her wishes, Judi has been cremated.
