Katherine Mountvania Shockey

Katherine Mountvania Shockey, age 84 a resident of E. A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Baker, WV formerly of Old Fields, WV passed away December 30, 2010 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born May 15, 1926 in Hardy Co., WV, she was the daughter of the late Simon P. & Anna (White) Shears. She was the last member of her immediate family. Her husband, Samuel Shockey, Sr., preceded her in death in March 2000. A son, a granddaughter, three sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death. Surviving is a daughter, Juanita Raines (husband Bob) of Moorefield, WV; two sons, Arlen ?Gene? Shockey of McGaheysville, VA and Steve Shockey of Old Fields, WV; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, January 2, 2010 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St. Interment will follow at the Elijah High Cemetery, Junction, WV. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 9 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
