Kevin Tompkins

Kevin Patrick Tompkins, age 66 of Fisher, WV, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at his residence. Born on March 19, 1959, in Moorefield, WV, he was the son of the late John Allen Tompkins and Margaret Marie Smith Tompkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Debra Fultz and Charlotte Tompkins and brothers, Johnny Tompkins and Gerald Tompkins, and now, he joins them in eternal rest as the last member of his immediate family.

Kevin was a proud carpenter, known for his skills in construction and his dedication to his craft, having worked for Doug Lofton for many years. But beyond the workbench, Kevin was an adventurous soul who loved the great outdoors—whether he was fishing, hunting, or camping, he found joy in every moment spent in nature. He had a passion for cooking, too, whipping up meals with a flair for conversation that brought family and friends together around the table. TV shows and music were his cozy companions, offering him relaxation and a chance to unwind after a day well spent.

Surviving is his girlfriend of eight years, Louise Kuykendall; sons, Nicholas (Brooke) Tompkins of Petersburg, WV and James Tompkins of Moorefield, WV and three cherished grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
