Lena Mae Hinkle

Lena Mae Hinkle, age 94 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, January 31, 2022, at the residence of her sister in Chester, VA. Born on February 28, 1927, in Hardy County, WV she was the daughter of the late Ervin Jeremiah Wratchford and Bessie Lee Gochenour Wratchford. Her husband, Harold Wendolyn Hinkle preceded her in death in May 1992. Four brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.

Lena was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren where she was a faithful attendee of Bible study, enjoyed worshipping in church and faithfully read her Bible. She enjoyed crocheting, making afghans and her quilting abilities along with her quilts were amazing.

Surviving is a daughter, Delores (Larry) Kolodzi of Tarpon Springs, FL; a son, Dewaine W. (Diana Foster) Hinkle of Rio, WV; grandsons, Mike (Gretel) Kolodzi & Tom (Kim) Kolodzi; a great-grandson, Harrison; sisters, Bonnie Hines, of Moorefield, Lila Ann Sine of Winchester, VA, Alice French of Baltimore, MD,  Dorothy Ritchie of Harrisonburg, VA and a very special sister, Phyliss Shobe of Chester, VA; and a brother, Walter Wratchford of Walkersville, MD along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastors Russell & Lucy Webster officiants. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM (Noon) until time of services. Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
