Lisle Courtney Weatherholtz

Lisle Courtney Weatherholtz, age 87 of Capon Bridge, WV formerly of Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday afternoon, December 24, 2021 at Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville, WV. Born on April 7, 1934, he was a son of Robert Weatherholtz and Clara Ann Fitzwater Weatherholtz. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Lisle was a graduate of Moorefield High School Class of 1953; was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion of Moorefield.  He had retired from the Hardy County Assessors’ Office.

Surviving is his wife, Nina June Carr Evans Weatherholtz; a daughter, Stacy Johnson of Capon Bridge, WV; step-children, Penny Evans of Martinsburg, WV and Robbie Evans of Moorefield, WV and Jack Rexrode of Sykesville, MD; two sisters, Grace Helmick of Moorefield, WV and Phyllis Collier of Old Fields, WV; four grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Brittany Stocker and Ashley Henry and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 197 Washington Street with Pastor Gary Shirk, Jr. officiant. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the U.S. Army and the Moorefield Veteran’s Honor Guard at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
