"Bea" Funkhouser

Loretta Bernadine “Bea” Funkhouser, age 81 of Ocoee, FL formerly of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday morning, February 3, 2020 at Health Central Park, Nursing & Rehabilitation Care Center in Winter Garden, FL. Born on September 20, 1938 in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of the late Bernard Walter Bosley and Stella Sions Durante. Bernadine was raised and nurtured by her grandfather and grandmother, Elijah & Minnie Sions. Her husband, Edgar Wayne Funkhouser preceded her in death in December 2008. Uncles; Sidney, Gilbert, Floyd, Sampson, Calvin & Haven and aunts, Lottie, Fausta & Burrell along with a special uncle & aunt, Cread & Vanda Sions, also preceded her in death.

Bea was a graduate of the Moorefield High School Class of 1958 and a 50+ year member and a Charter Member of the Moorefield Brethren Church.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Funkhouser of Ocoee, FL and Mitchell (Karen) Funkhouser of Waynesboro, PA; a daughter, Vanda L. (G. Roger, IV) Harvey of Ocoee, FL; four grandchildren, Claire (Ryan) Gernert, Quinten Harvey, Joshua Harvey and Dean Harvey; a  great-granddaughter, Elliana Paige Gernert and four sister-in-laws, Erma Coffman of Winchester, VA, Janet Kelley of Herndon, VA, Carol Shockey & Lillian Funkhouser of Moorefield, WV.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with her sons as celebrants. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services on Saturday.
