Lorraine Elizabeth Fisher

Lorraine Elizabeth Fisher, age 85 of Moorefield, WV passed away Sunday morning, January 7, 2018 at Hampshire Center in Romney, WV. She was born on October 17, 1932 in Grant County, WV a daughter of the late Frederick Earl Hinkle and Rosetta William Sites Hinkle. Her husband, William N. Wimp Fisher preceded her in death in April 2017. A son, William N. Bill Fisher, four brothers, Junior, Bobby, Norman & Doris and a sister, Irene Kite also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Dorcas Baptist Church. Lorraine considered herself a Bingo expert based on the number of years as a volunteer at the nursing home she played. She enjoyed cleaning her house, something her children never understood. She crocheted a blanket for every grandchild, enjoyed going to lunch with friends at Colts restaurant and she spent so much time with her late husband shopping and attending local dinners. Her Hinkle wit will be remembered by all who knew her. Surviving is a daughter, Debra Fisher Helmick (Mike) of Moorefield, WV; a son, Richard W. Fisher (Karen) of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Lawrence Buzz Hinkle (Janet) of Petersburg, WV; two sisters, Ilene Weese and Shirley Hinkle of Petersburg, WV; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
