Lucy Estella Jones

Lucy Estella Smith Jones, age 85 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday afternoon, February 1, 2016 at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV. She was born on February 8, 1930 at Falls, WV in Grant County, a daughter to the late Hugh Mercy Smith and Effie Viola (Bruce) Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, two grandsons and two brothers. Surviving are a daughter, Helen Cookie Kane of Moorefield, WV; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandsons; a niece and three nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held 3PM Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Bishop Henderson Wheler and Pastor Rick Bergdoll officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of services.
