Mabel Lee Helmick
July 15, 1926 — May 12, 2008
Mabel Lee Helmick, age 81 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday evening, May 12, 2008, at the E.A. Hawse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV. Born July 15, 1926 in Hardy Co., WV she was the daughter of the late John & Bessie (Wratchford) Smith. Her husband, Earl M. Helmick with whom they operated the E & M Coffer Shop for 23 years, preceded her in death in November 1995. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving is a son, Dwayne Helmick and wife Sharon of Moorefield, WV; a granddaughter, Alana Helmick; a grandson, Shane Nickleson; and three great grandchildren, James Moats, Alexis & Brittany Nickleson; and a special niece, Nora Phillips.
Funeral Services were conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV with Pastors Lucy & Russell Webster officiating. Interment followed at Olivet Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday at the Fraley Funeral Home.
