Marvin Randolph Whiteman

Marvin Randolph Whiteman, age 84 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday morning, May 21, 2012 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born April 27, 1928 in Junction, WV he was the son of the late Phillip Rosser Whiteman & Carrie Elizabeth (Shoemaker) Whiteman. His wife, Ella Mae (Myers) Whiteman preceded him in death in August 1984. Two sons, two brothers and a step-great-grandson also preceded him in death. Surviving in addition to his companion, Helen Baker are two sons, Dwayne Whiteman & Wallace Whiteman of Moorefield, WV; three daughters, Barbara Howell, Sharon Whiteman & Patricia Shilling all of Moorefield, WV; two brothers, Loyd Whiteman of Moorefield, WV and Orville Whiteman of Wardensville, WV; three sisters, Irene Dolly of Maysville, WV, Norma Westfall of Moorefield, WV and Juanita Wratchford of Aberdeen, MD; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; twenty-two step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St, with Pastor Matt Lyon officiating. Interment will follow at the Old Pine Cemetery, Purgitsville, WV. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
