Maxine Wratchford

Frances Maxine Wratchford, age 95 of South Elm Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday evening, February 21, 2020, at her residence. Born on July 5, 1924, in Moorefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late Halbert Jennings “Peck” Saville and Olga Mae Reed Saville Walker and a step-daughter of the late Cleta Hiser Saville. Her husband, Herman Ray Wratchford preceded her in death in October 2015.

She was a graduate of Moorefield High School Class of 1942. Maxine along with her husband was the owner/operator of J & M Service on Main Street for 25 years. She was a member of the McKinley Chapter #12 O.E.S.

Surviving is her son, H.J. (Maria) Wratchford of Moorefield, WV; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Jay) Vetter of Burlington, NC and Tim (Pamela) Wratchford of Hanover, VA; and five grandchildren, Brooke, Meredith, Braeden, Alex & Luke.
