Mernie Grace Evans

Mernie Grace Evans, age 79 of Rig, WV, passed away Tuesday morning, April 29, 2003 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born August 1, 1923 in Petersburg, WV she was a daughter of the late William A. & Harriet Grace (Rumer) Hardy. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Temple of Rig, WV and was retired from the Grant Memorial Hospital after 20 years. Her husband Emory M. Evans preceded her in death in January 1983. Surviving are, two daughters, Naomi Grace Bush and Carole Lee Dolan of Rig, WV; three brothers, Paul Hardy of Rig, WV; John Hardy of Cabins, WV and James Hardy of Moorefield, WV; one sister, Ruth Simon of New Market, VA; three grandsons; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were conducted Thursday, May 1, 2003 at the Calvary Baptist Temple in Rig with Pastor Charles Snyder officiating. Interment followed at the Newhouse Cemetery at Rig.
