Michael Todd Cole

Michael Todd Cole “Big Sexy” age 55 of Ashby Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday evening, August 20, 2021, at his residence. Born on September 7, 1965, in Romney, WV, he was a son of Jacqueline “Jackie” Frances Cole Russell of Moorefield, WV.

Big Mike was a star basketball athlete at Moorefield High School and graduated in 1983. He went on to play basketball at Alleghany Community College (ACC) for two years and then attended Davis and Elkins College. After College he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was currently working at Pilgrim’s Pride in Moorefield WV. Michael lived his best life. He made many friends over the years, and he never met a stranger good or bad. He spoke his own truths. He was proceeded in death by his father Albert “Manuel” Russell, One sister Kelly “Bear” Cole Sowell and One brother Vernon Mathew “Pete” Cole.          

Surviving in addition to his mother is a son Michael Todd Cole Jr. of Huntington, WV; three daughters, Mikala Cole of Hagerstown, MD, Kearra Cole of Martinsburg, WV and Ieesha Cole of Keyser WV; an estranged daughter of Timberville, VA; nine grandchildren; two sisters Terry Cole Vargas (Robert) of Bunker Hill, WV and Robin Cole of Pennsylvania and a brother Tyler Russell (Patricia)of Keyser, WV.  Three devoted nieces Shanon, Kylita, Jarell and two nephews also survive.

Big Sexy would want us all to know that the Mandela Effect is real, and he has one last question for us all… “DO YOU KNOW WHAT GRINDS MY GEARS?” His family has an answer for him “You will forever be missed and remembered” We love you.

Funeral Services will be conducted 6:00 PM Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Harold George officiant. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until time of services at 6:00 PM.

Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
