Molly Mae Thorne

Molly Mae Thorne, age 83 of Old Fields, WV, passed away Sunday morning, December 11, 2011 at her residence. Born October 21, 1928 in Moorefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Monroe L. & Lula F. (Dellinger) Hambleton. Molly was one of the first employees of Pierce Foods and worked for numerous years leaving only when she could no longer work. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds, enjoyed her garden and flowers; and hunting when she was younger and able. Her husband, Richard Thorne preceded her in death in October 1975. Four brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. Surviving is a son, Greg Greenwalt of Old Fields, WV; a brother, John Hambleton of Winchester, VA; a grandson, Scott Greenwalt and two great-grandchildren, Shalyn Greenwalt and Nathaniel Greenwalt. Services will be conducted at a later date.
