Monte Carlysle Delawder

Monte Carlysle Delawder, age 66 of Railroad Street, Moorefield, WV passed away Sunday morning, December 1, 2019. Born on September 17, 1953 in Petersburg, WV, he was a son of the late Robert Delawder and Helen Lee Vetter Delawder. He was a US Marine Corps veteran and was a Life Member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion. He was a cabinet maker for the Fertig Cabinet Company of Moorefield for 30 years before retirement.

Surviving is a daughter, Monica H. Stickley of Purgistville, WV; a son, Steven R. Delawder of Old Fields, WV; two grandchildren Seth Stickley and Payge Stickley; two sisters, Vickie L. Pratt and Deborah D. Ketterman of Moorefield, WV and an adopted-like daughter, Amanda Smith Brill of Moorefield, WV.

Inurnment with Military Honors accorded by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Moorefield Veteran’s Honor Guard will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Columbarium 2 in Olivet Cemetery.
