Nina Pearl Pierce

Nina Pearl (Fitzwater) Pierce, age 85 of Moorefield, WV, passed from this life on Saturday morning, November 1, 2003 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV; where she had been a resident for the last four years. Born December 3, 1917 at Ft. Run, near Moorefield, she was a daughter of the late Abraham Jackson and Mary Catherine (Whetzel) Fitzwater. She was employed by Peoples Drug Stores (now CVS) at their Washington, D.C. headquarters for 43 years and was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren. Her husband, Meade L. Pierce preceded her in death in April 1973. An infant daughter, three sisters and four brothers also preceded her in death. Surviving are two brothers, Noah Fitzwater and Russell Fitzwater of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Maxine Shrout and Shirley Hose of Moorefield, WV and a large number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great nephews. Funeral Services were conducted Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV with Pastor Harold Garber officiating. Interment followed at the Olivet Cemetery.
