Ralph Richard Baldwin

September 22, 1947 — February 2, 2021

Ralph Richard Baldwin, age 73 of Railroad Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 2, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on September 22, 1947 in the Ft. Run area of Hardy County, WV, he was a son of the late Ralph William Baldwin and Trixie Anna Cain Baldwin. A brother, Gary A. Baldwin also preceded him in death. He was the last member of his immediate family.

Ralph attended Moorefield High School prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Denny-Moyers-Pratt Post#9606 V.F.W. and the John M. Golliday Post#64 American Legion. He was a truck driver for over 50 years and was enjoying his retirement working for Doug’s Sport Shop. Ralph enjoyed tinkering around the house finding many projects to occupy his time, helping family when needed, but the day usually started with breakfast with friends at one of the many local restaurants. The job he took seriously was following his grandkids, watching them play the many sports they enjoyed and coaching them as only a grandfather could.

Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Rosemary Wilson Baldwin; a daughter, Brandi Baldwin of Moorefield, WV; two sons, Ritchie (wife Chenoa) Baldwin of Fisher, WV and Jeremy (wife Angie) Baldwin of Old Fields, WV; eight grandchildren, Hayden Baldwin, Jasmine Baldwin, Trevor Baldwin, Sara Baldwin, Owen C. Baldwin, Jake Baldwin, Lukas Baldwin and Adalyn Baldwin; an uncle, Harold Cain of Martinsburg, WV; two aunts, Mildred Shockey of Moorefield, WV and Thelma Lee Lang of Winchester, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Observing his wishes, there will be no services.

Memorials may be directed to the Moorefield High School Athletic Department, 401 North Main Street, Moorefield, WV 26836 or Moorefield Little League, 226 Spring Avenue, Moorefield, WV 26836.
