Robert Francis Bobo, affectionately known as Bob, age 94 of Fisher, WV, passed away Sunday morning, May 3, 2026, at Cortland Acres in Thomas, WV. Born on July 9, 1931, in Moorefield, WV, Bob was a cherished son of the late Nelson Grady Bobo and Ollie Blanche Sherman Bobo. His wife, Anna Marie Chewning Bobo preceded him in death in June 2022. Brothers, Ralph and Keith and sisters, Jean Riggleman, Juanita Riggleman and Shirley France also preceded him in death.

Bob's life was rich with experiences and love. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War, and found camaraderie and joy in his involvement with the American Legion Post #64 and V.F.W. Post #9606. He made many friends over the years, often sharing a laugh or a poignant story during legion dinners and gatherings.

After dedicating over 25 years to driving buses with MetroBus, Bob turned his passion towards farming, where he could often be found tinkering with tractors. A true “people person,” he was never shy about striking up a conversation or sharing a joke, often endearing him to those he met. His spirited nature was a defining trait, and his love for the Washington Redskins (now Commanders) became a cornerstone of his character.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Karen Bobo and Janice Gail Guessford; a brother, Norman Bobo; a sister, Eleanor LaCombe and a granddaughter, Amber Duenas.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Mark Flynn officiant. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the U.S. Army and the Moorefield Veterans Honor Guard in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM util the time of services on Saturday.
